Nationally Recognised Training
The Diploma of Musculoskeletal Therapy adds some specialisation to the MST foundation. It explores the implications of misaligned joints in the feet and their correction. The diploma is designed to elevate the importance of postural disturbances on the body mechanics, and their correction including the role of therapeutic movements. This level begins to explore muscle and nerve relationships and the role they play in disturbed body mechanics. Greater depth in the anatomy and physiology of the tissues involved in body mechanics is explored along with some understanding of medical tests including some training in basic imaging interpretation.

Career Prospects - FAQ

What pathways are open to me if I want to change over to an MST practitioner?
You can join our full time course which allow you to complete the course in a very short space of time.

You can attend training workshops at specific weekends. The rest of the course may be completed part time without greatly disrupting your current work situation.

Your current qualifications and experience may give you some exemptions in aspects of the course. This will result in less cost and it reduces your training time.

What advantages exist if I switch over from my current modality to MST?
Superior body diagnostics gives you a more accurate picture of the root cause of the client’s problems allowing you to eliminate unneccessary work .

Is your MST related to other modalities?
There are other MST courses available however ours may lead to acquiring the status of a Myopractor while the others will not owing to a different form of training.

Bowen therapy and our MST have a common origin in that the basic moves can be traced back to Tom Bowen a practitioner in Geelong Victoria. Bowen therapy lacks body assessment whereas our emphasis on assessment makes our modality stand out.

MST believes in using the right tool for the job and so you would find many aspects of our work that may be used in other therapies. We use various forms of treatment methods that have common links to many other modalities.

Students who hold other qualifications with relevant units of competency may apply for Recognised Prior Learning. RPL application must be made on enrolment or at least four weeks before the course begins. Please speak to our Education Manager for further information.
